What to expect

We’re here to support you at every stage of your mentoring journey. Shortly after completing the form, you’ll receive a welcome email with useful information, like getting paired with a team and obtaining a DBS. You’ll also receive a separate email with details on how to access our online platform, Makerspace, where you can find helpful resources and mentor training.

Safeguarding

The safeguarding of young people participating in FIRST Tech Challenge is paramount. Whilst ultimate safeguarding responsibility rests with the participating organisation/school, we require all mentors hold a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate. You can obtain a free DBS check and access online safeguarding training by registering with your local STEM Ambassador hub. Please familiarise yourself with our Safeguarding Policy.
