Using accredited content co-created by young people and industry – we link careers with the classroom providing the tools for teams to own their development.

Our education team is busy co-creating content and resources with industry, teachers and young people – here’s a snapshot of what to expect:

“STEM is less daunting for the students that took part in the programme and I think it has increased interest in the subject. This week we had a Year 8 options evening; there’s quite a lot of Year 8 children attending the club and they’re choosing engineering.”

FIRST Tech Challenge hubs are the heart of the community – an eco-system typically comprising up to 48 teams, supported by a STEM Ambassador Hub, local industry partners and universities. Hubs are a rich source of peer-to-peer support, as well as mentors and community links. Teams are encouraged to reach out and buddy with other local teams and even those overseas!

We’ve teamed up with STEM Learning to ensure teams have access to a ready pool of talent.

Young people deserve to be inspired by STEM in the same way as a music festival or sporting event – that’s what FIRST Tech Challenge events are all about. We host free-to-participate local, regional and national tournaments so young people have the opportunity to ‘go pro’ in STEM. Last year we were under a Concorde – this year we’ll be at the Olympic Park!
